4-Card RPG

This game is an experiment: Can you make an RPG game that would fit on 4 cards - 3 for each of the three Archetypes and 1 for the Referee? Surprisingly, the answer is YES! 4-Card RPG is a genre-agnostic game that uses a 2d6 resolution mechanic. I designed it for my students, most of which have never played any RPG before, and all of which are non-native speakers. It is a work in progress, but so far, it's a success. Also included is a card with a fantasy/sci-fi map: the idea being that the Referee should prepare a simple map with a few terrains, each with an interesting monument, think of a few evocative names and, that's it. By asking questions before/during the play ("Why do they call this place ...?"), you build the world at the table. If my students can do it, everybody can! Happy gaming!
